SUNDIAL
SITTING ATOP THE HIGHEST POINT IN HIS MYKONOS HOME.

MINAS DESIGNED AND BUILT SUNDIAL IN 1991.
It was first presented at the Zoumpoulaki Gallery in 1992.
As all of his designs, the sundial follows the same aesthetic. Influenced by ancient Greek objects, Minas produced the sundial by Pentelic marble. Similar to the "Marble Plate", it has a curvy design which follows the shape of the human body.
The sundial hands are made of stainless silver while in their ends they are made of gold.
It is now placed in Minas' Mykonos home.
In the highest spot of the island in order to get the most sun. Recently Minas also built behind the sundial, a wooden bench. Whomever visits his home is able to spent some time at the sundial while watching the gorgeous view, the sunrise and the sunset.
